Introduction

Your privacy is important to BTL Group Limited (“BTL”). This Privacy Policy discloses how BTL collects, protects, uses and shares Personal Information gathered from you in relation to Marketing Services and Promotions, in compliance with the Privacy Act 2020. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Marketing Services” means BTL’s marketing services in connection with (but not limited to) validating entrants of each Promotion; and “Promotions” means any sales promotions schemes, sweepstake prize draws, loyalty schemes or similar, undertaken by BTL for and on behalf of itself, its clients and customers.

By entry into the relevant Promotion, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by it.

All Personal Information is collected in a fair and non-intrusive manner, with your voluntary consent. BTL respects the privacy of Promotion entrants that may choose to provide Personal Information. BTL recognises the need for appropriate protections and management of Personal Information. This Privacy Policy will assist you to understand what types of information BTL may collect, how that information may be used, and with whom the information may be shared.

What type of information do we collect?

In order to facilitate the Promotions, you may be required to provide BTL with Personal Information. Personal Information is any information about an identifiable individual. Where the collection of Personal Information is necessary, you will be aware that such information is required because you will have to provide personal details when submitting an entry to the Promotion. The Personal Information that you submit is gathered only on a voluntary basis; you may choose not to provide personal Information which may mean that you are unable to submit a valid entry to the Promotion.  

The type of Personal Information we may collect from you in relation to a Promotion, includes:

• Name;
• Contact information (including email address and possibly physical address);
• Location;
• Computer or network;
• Your interactions with BTL;
• Billing or purchase information.

Our Use of Your Information / Opting-In & Opting-Out

BTL’s use of Your Personal Information may include:

• To process and administer the Promotion;
• To contact you if there is any change in details in relation to the relevant Promotion;
• If you have elected for BTL to do so, contact you about current and future services and provide you (on the addresses you have provided) with other promotional and marketing materials relating to BTL and/or its clients/customers. BTL may send you such communication by email and social media and digital channels;
• Disclosure to and use by third-party contractors and service providers to help us operate our business and/or facilitate the Promotion. BTL may disclose Your Personal Information to third party contractors and service providers to facilitate the Promotion and operate its computer systems, provide BTL with fraud prevention services, send out our mail/email and clean collected data.

If you have opted-in (elected) to receiving promotional/marketing or other communication from BTL, you have the option to opt-out from receiving such communication at any time by contacting BTL on the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy (or as otherwise provided by BTL).

Sharing of Personal Information

BTL may disclose Your Personal Information in certain limited circumstances as follows:

• To third party contractors and service providers as detailed above; and
• To companies, organisations or individuals outside of BTL when we have your consent to do so. The relevant company, organisation or individual will deal with your personal information in accordance with its own privacy policy; and
• For further processing in accordance with the purpose(s) for which the Personal Information was originally collected.
• Where BTL makes such disclosures, it will use reasonable steps to require such third parties to agree to comply with the Privacy Act 2020 in relation to such information.  

Sometimes BTL extracts information from its collected records to produce aggregated data. This aggregated data does not identify individuals. BTL may use the aggregated data for its own business and research purposes and may share the data with third parties, provided it does not personally identify any individual.

Storage, Retention & Accuracy of Personal Information

BTL will take reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Information is safeguarded against loss, access, use, modification, disclosure or other misuse. All reasonable steps are taken to prevent unauthorised use or disclosure of Your Personal Information.

BTL will retain Your Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the Marketing Services for which it was collected and to comply with applicable laws.

BTL takes all reasonable steps to ensure that your Personal Information is accurate, up-to-date, complete, relevant and not misleading.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

BTL may change this Privacy Policy at any time by changing or removing existing terms or adding new ones. Changes may take the form of a completely new Privacy Policy. By entry into any Promotion (after such changes to the Privacy Policy), and providing your Personal Information as part of entry into that Promotion, you are agreeing to be bound by the new/amended Privacy Policy.
